COMIND® band or collar heaters have the ability to withstand high temperatures, as they have high power. They are used mainly in the plastic industry (injectors, extruders, blowers) or for any use of heating tubes. It has different types of clamping and terminals according to the client’s needs, in addition to the base material from which it is made, whether it is mica or ceramic. The main difference between mica and ceramic is that ceramic collar heaters support a higher charge density per cm2 due to the manufacture made of interlocking ceramic blocks that incorporates the rolled micron. In addition, these ceramic blocks composed of steatite are the ones that especially allow them to withstand higher temperatures.
